Editor/ Videographer

Seeking a motivated Editor/Videographer to join our team of video content producers, creating and contributing to the production of narrative-based shorts and marketing videos for our clients as well as stories for

Job Summary: Responsibilities may include producing, story research, field producing, field audio, videography using DSLR cameras, and video post production using Adobe creative Cloud apps.  Responsibilities may vary from project to project and may include one aspect of producing the video to owning the entire project.

Qualified Applicants:  Production skills should include DSLR video production, Proficient in Adobe Premier and After Effects CC, audio recording using digital field recorders, boom shotgun mic, and wireless lavs.  Post production experience should include self directed creative video editorial, sound mix, color correction, and encoding.  Must be able to receive and process review notes from our team as well as clients. Self starter, mature attitude, willing to go the extra mile. 1-2 years experience preferred.

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Videographer/ Editor Internship

Peninsula Filmworks, the video arm of Peninsula Publishing and Distribution, is seeking an Editor/Videographer intern for the summer of 2018.  We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to put in the time while keeping a level head and smile on their face.

Interns will be involved with the production workflow of several editorial and promotional videos and mini-documentaries. Our intern will learn assist in all levels of production – videography, editing, research, booking interviews, and sound. To apply, email resume and cover letter to [email protected]

In 2017, intern Jacob Dannhausen-Brun recorded sound, video, and drone footage for more than two dozen Filmworks productions. His work included trips to Washington Island to interview residents about island history, camping out at Newport State Park to get footage of the night sky, and a day on the lake with Henrickson Fisheries to tell the story of fishing in Door County.

He also spearheaded a mockumentary about the Red Putter Pro Tournament in Ephraim (below). What will you do this summer?

The Peninsula Pulse and Peninsula Filmworks are seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to join our team to produce content across multiple platforms.

Job Summary: Produce print, digital, and video content for the Peninsula Pulse, Door County Living, and Peninsula Filmworks across a variety of mediums.

Qualified applicants must have great writing and interviewing skills, be energized by social media and excel in using social media platforms to drive traffic, find stories, and engage readers. An entrepreneurial mindset, ability to hit deadlines, and the ability to work independently and with a team are also required.

NOTE: Preference will be given to candidate with video editing and production capabilities. If such a person fits overall job requirements, more of their time will be spent filming and editing videos geared to news and visitor audience.

Full-time, year round.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
