Internship:  Editor/Videographer

Peninsula Filmworks is on the hunt for an Editor/Videographer intern for the summer of 2017.  We are looking for someone to help us document the stories and beauty of Door County who isn’t afraid to put in time while keeping a level head and smile on their face.  

The intern will be involved with the production workflow of several editorial and promotional videos and mini-documentaries. Our intern will assist in all levels of production, including videography, editing, research, booking interviews, and sound.

Requirements:

Must have film, production, and editing experience
Expected to conceptualize, edit and shoot video
Must hit deadlines
Self starter, mature attitude, willing to go the extra mile
Ability to multi-task and take creative direction
Preference given to an applicant with experience in Adobe Premiere and After Effects CC
Strong interest in Door County people and history

Responsibilities include:

Intern will work with the Video Director and others on the Peninsula Filmworks team to:

Create narrative-based shorts and marketing videos for clients
Take creative direction provided by the Filmworks team and clients
Produce  stories for DoorCountyPulse.com including:
• Peninsula Pulse (news stories, feature stories, covers, “framed”, etc.)
• Door County Living (feature stories, department articles, covers, etc.)
• Collaborate with editors, writers, layout dept. Etc.
• Attend editorial meetings and maintain availability during production times

Videography using DSLR cameras
Field audio recording using digital recorders, boom mic, and wireless lavs
Post Production
Basic media management
Media prep inside Premiere including dual-system sound sync
Self directed creative video editorial
Sound mix, color correction, and encoding for distribution
